What is Connections?

Connections is a program that seeks to foster relationships between attendees and graduate students as well as faculty at Northwestern University’s multidisciplinary Human Development and Social Policy program in the School of Education and Social Policy.

Who is Connections For?

Connections is for people from marginalized backgrounds (e.g., people of color, LGBTQ+ people, first-generation students) who seek to learn more about what is involved in doctoral (Doctor of Philosophy or PhD) work in human development and social policy. We are currently prioritizing applications from people from the broader Chicagoland area, but applications from people who are living in other areas of the US are welcome, too.
